Curtains and Playhouses

A little over a year ago, Daddy and the boys build a cute playhouse in the woods for the girls. Mainly since the girls had SO enjoyed this little house in Montana during our Yellowstone stay:

With Sam's help, rigging up some homemade curtain rods, I furbished it with some curtains this past week!

It was just adding to the cuteness already there, what with the blue-speckled tin dishes and all. :)

But it made some home-makers-in-training VERY happy! Privacy at LAST from all those curious birds and insects who want to partake of dandelion soup!

Cozy fires to be...

Thank goodness for a woodstove and plenty of good, dry wood that Daddy and the boys stocked up last year! And this recent ice storm will provide us with plenty more for next winter...

Nothing more delightful than to sit in front of a cozy fire with a cup of tea and a good book.

For reference...

Our cabin was about 20 minutes (ha ha, not counting the crazy 6-mile gravel driveway that took 20 minutes to drive out of!) from the NORTH entrance. We did a lot of driving. :)

The new look

This is so fun! All I did was send the picture to my blog-header expert friend, Michelle, and she turned it into something beautiful!! Still fine-tuning the other blog colors (background, type, borders, etc.), but this looks much more fall-ish. Thank you so much Michelle!! I LOVE it!!

Here goes...

My very first post on my very first blog! And I've worked on it until so late that I don't know that I can put together a coherent sentence. :) Oh well. I'm happy to have it going at any rate, though there are a ton of things I want to work on and learn how to do on here. There have been a lot of cute blog features that I've seen on other people's blogs that I'm not finding anywhere. Another day. But for now, let's see if this posts.
