Some nutty people even got up at 4am, in order to get to the library (a 2-hour drive away) by 7 for the opening of the doors. Can you imagine? WHO in their right minds would bother to...oh. Wait.

We were definitely in the early scramble for the cream of the crop. It might be considered a selfish thing to do until it comes to books. Then it's a perfectly acceptable. In fact, I think "no biting" is the only rule. :)

As a matter of fact, we *only* looked for books for about 4 hours before deciding to load up the books and explore the library. Left plenty of literature for everyone else.

It's really a very unique library. Modern architecture. Lots of glass, concrete, and metal. All the library part is on one side, and then there's the "window" side full of chairs and tables for studiers.

Some among us had no fears of the heights and the seeming non-existence of walls.

Others held on a liiiiittle tighter to keep from falling through the solid, sturdy glass. But don't worry, Michelle, I won't tell them who it was.

And to top off our adventures, we rode the glass elevator up and down a few times. Honest, I really think all the trips were to get us somewhere. Who would ride a cool glass elevator just for the sake of it? Come on now.
Exhausted from all our treasure hunting (and having only had time to scarf down a granola bar and some coffee or gatorade for "breakfast") we repaired to a cute little teashop, where all enjoyed a spot of tea and scones. With strawberry jam and Devonshire cream. Mmmmm.
